This sauce is very easy to prepare. I mainly use it for our chicken when grilling out, but you can use as a basting sauce for fish, pork or hamburgers that are being barbecued as well. This sauce keeps refrigerated for 2 to 3 weeks. Warm before using. Makes about 1 1/2 cups of sauce.
Lemon Basting Sauce For Chicken
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
Pinch of cayenne
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup hot water
Melt the butter, but be careful not to brown it. Add the paprika, sugar, sea salt, pepper, mustard and cayenne. Stir until thoroughly blended. Then add the lemon juice and hot water. Beat until well mixed. Enjoy!
